About us
Hallwang Private Oncology Clinic
Hallwang Clinic is a private oncology clinic in Germany, specializing in the care and treatment of complex and advanced cancers. We support patients in challenging life situations who are seeking individualized and carefully considered next steps.

Our focus is on developing a personalized treatment pathway for each patient—based on sound medical evidence, clearly explained, and consistently tailored to the individual situation. We follow highly individualized treatment approaches that combine advanced, high-end medicine with personal and continuous care.
Our work is particularly focused on complex clinical situations where standardized guidelines alone are not sufficient and a more differentiated, individually tailored medical strategy is required.
How We Support You in Your Situation
Cancer develops differently in every individual. That is why we assess each case on an individual basis—considering the tumor, previous treatments, current findings, and the overall personal situation.
Many patients come to us with numerous questions, often in complex and emotionally challenging circumstances. We help structure these questions and work together with you to determine which next medical steps may be appropriate.
Our goal is to support you and your loved ones not only medically, but also emotionally—through a dedicated team that remains by your side throughout the entire treatment process.
The Principles That Guide Our Treatment Approach
We combine modern oncology therapies with timely, individually tailored care. Trust, transparency, and honest, realistic communication are at the core of everything we do.
We take the time to explain complex medical concepts in a clear and understandable way. Decisions are made together with you—based on clear information, current research, and sound medical judgment.
Our goal is to create a solid foundation for decision-making that is both medically appropriate and aligned with your personal situation.
The Medical Foundation of Our Work
Hallwang Clinic is a regulated private oncology clinic within the German healthcare system. Our medical team consists exclusively of experienced, board-certified specialists in oncology and related fields, supported by an interdisciplinary team including nursing, psychology, and other specialized disciplines.
In contrast to purely alternative-oriented institutions, we work on the basis of evidence-based medicine and internationally established standards. Our decisions are guided by current clinical guidelines, which we continuously review and—where medically appropriate—complement with individualized treatment approaches.
A particular focus lies on the precise interpretation of modern biomarker analyses. These are essential in determining whether and how targeted therapies or immunotherapies can be meaningfully applied in an individual case. Especially in immuno-oncology, this requires extensive expertise, as both efficacy and potential side effects must be carefully managed.
We do not replace established cancer treatments with unproven methods and do not make promises of cure. Our aim is to carefully evaluate all medically meaningful treatment options.
For Which Clinical Situations We Develop Treatment Concepts
Our focus is on advanced or metastatic cancers (Stage IV), as well as on situations where new treatment options need to be evaluated after multiple prior therapies.
We primarily support patients for whom standard treatments have not achieved the desired results or where a more differentiated medical assessment is required.
To understand the tumor as precisely as possible, we use advanced diagnostic methods such as genetic analyses, liquid biopsy, and extended molecular and immunological profiling. Depending on the clinical question, additional imaging techniques such as PET/CT or MRI may also be used.
These data are analyzed as part of a personalized tumor profile to systematically identify potential treatment approaches.
Based on this, we develop individualized treatment strategies tailored to medical data, current scientific evidence, and your personal situation. Depending on the findings, this may include targeted therapies, immunotherapies (e.g., checkpoint inhibitors), antibody-based treatments including antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs), conventional or adapted chemotherapy, as well as carefully designed combination therapies aimed at improving efficacy and addressing resistance mechanisms.
Where medically appropriate, we also evaluate precision-based and innovative approaches based on current clinical data, as well as evidence-based off-label use within a carefully considered individual risk–benefit assessment.
Which options are most appropriate in your specific case is decided together with you—transparently, comprehensibly, and aligned with your personal goals and life situation.

Supportive Measures We Provide
In addition to oncological treatment, we follow an integrative medical approach in which evidence-based therapies are complemented by targeted supportive measures. The aim is to reduce side effects, improve treatment tolerance, and help stabilize overall well-being.
These may include, among others:
- orthomolecular and mitochondrial medicine to support cellular metabolism
- individualized infusion programs to address deficiencies and enhance treatment tolerance
- supportive physical therapies such as hyperthermia, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, and ozone therapy
- nutritional support and individually tailored exercise programs
- psycho-oncological support to help cope with emotionally challenging situations
These measures are not a substitute for oncological treatment, but are designed to meaningfully support the overall treatment process and provide comprehensive care.
Our Clinic and Our Team
Hallwang Clinic is located in the Black Forest, offering a peaceful and discreet environment where you can focus on your treatment—away from everyday life, yet with stable connections to your family and your treating physicians at home.
Our team consists of board-certified specialists as well as experienced nursing and therapy staff who work closely together to support you continuously. The team is complemented by specialized psychologists and additional disciplines to ensure comprehensive care.
Many of our physicians bring experience from internationally renowned universities and research institutions, including leading cancer centers in Europe, the United States, and Australia. They have a strong scientific background, particularly in the field of immuno-oncology, and are active members of professional societies such as ESMO and DGHO.
An experienced oncology team is present on site at all times. Through close personal care and a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio, we ensure continuous medical monitoring and individualized support.
To provide the best possible care, we work closely with international cancer centers and university hospitals to exchange medical standards, access innovative diagnostics and expertise, and—where appropriate—develop joint treatment strategies and ensure seamless transitions into further care structures.
The clinic features 16 modern rooms and one suite, creating a personal atmosphere with a high level of individualized care.
